The finalists from the Young Nordic Jazz Comets competition in 2008 are moving forward from cult favourites to mainstream artists. Their brilliant debut album is already selling well around Scandinavia. The band is currently touring extensively in Finland, Sweden and European jazz festivals.

This Nordic group consists of members from Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland, all of them considered to be among the best of their generation in their native countries. Laser has toured extensively since 2006 in Scandinavia and the Baltic countries. They released their debut album in May 2009 and supported the new release with a fantastic tour of the Nordic countries.

A multi talented jazz group formed in Gothenburg in the autumn of 2006. Their music combines the tonal qualities of modern jazz with classical and folk influences. The compositions of Pauli Lyytinen and Joonas Kuusisto are colourful in melody and rich in humour. With almost a childlike quality in the composition these are still the works of seasoned professionals. Imaginetive and technically brilliant.

This cult group combines influences ranging from South-American music to fusion jazz and free improvisation. The Finnish ensemble has played concerts in addition to their native country in Estonia and as far as Portugal.

Formed in 2000 The Eclipse Ensemble are finally working on their first album. The Ensemble's music combines the songwriting of Tapio Ylinen with progressive influences in the style of Pink Floyd and Wigwam. In his songs Ylinen contemplates on issues of the society in which we live in and the human condition in general. Always with a keen sence of psychology and powerful melodies. Their debut album is due in 2010.

The Tampere born playwriter and theatre man is working on his first album which is scheduled to be released in late 2009. Valkama writes musical stories with original characters. Sometimes comical, sometimes tragic but always truthful, melodic and beautiful.

The frontman for The Eclipse Ensemble and the CEO of Eclipse Music also performs as a solo artist both on the guitar and on piano. He is currently preparing material for a solo album due to be released in 2010. His concert material consists of his own material but also songs from Sting, The Police, Pink Floyd, Wigwam (the great Finnish prog rock group), Dire Straits, Eric Clapton, Marc Cohn, Dan Fogelberg and many others.

Timo Ylinen has made a long career as a supporting musician for many great Finnish rock and pop artists and groups. He has worked amongst others with Katriina Honkanen, Pekka Tegelman, Liisa Tavi and Sakari Kuosmanen. In addition to his supporting work he has also released his own records which are now available for the first time in digital distribution.

Markku Ylinen is a singer/songwriter and some of
his songs have been released also by other artists in Finland and in Germany. As a songwriter the biggest success so far has been in Germany with the song "Shores of Mediterranean sea" in 1994.
His band Markk & The Star Archers released a CD-single in Finland in 2006 and the new CD will be released in 2010.

Tampereen Ylioppilasteatteri (Tampere Student Theatre) is one of the most influential non-commercial theatre groups in Finland. Founded in 1960 the theatre has been the starting point for many a successful career.
